Basement Upgrade: Arcade, Bar, and Movie Room

From Cold, Unfinished Concrete to a Sophisticated Entertainment Hub

Where: Zimmerman, MN

What was there: Previously, this was a concrete basement, and the client wanted to renovate it into a true entertainment space.

About the space:

What started as a cold, unfinished concrete basement has been completely transformed into a sophisticated, multi-functional entertainment hub.

The custom wet bar serves as a stunning focal point, showcasing rich black walnut countertops, custom dark-stained cabinetry, and a textured brick backsplash highlighted by warm, integrated LED shelving. Just adjacent to the bar area, we designed a clever secret door that opens to a private room housing the client’s gun safe, sitting seamlessly alongside a dedicated arcade space.

The high-end craftsmanship continues through a set of rustic sliding barn doors that lead into the main lounge. Inside, we built a matching floor-to-ceiling entertainment center featuring a sleek electric fireplace set against a coordinating brick accent wall. Melding top-tier finishes with a cozy, speakeasy vibe, this basement is now the ultimate destination for game days, poker nights, and relaxation.
