Blaine Kitchen Remodel

From Dark and Heavy to Airy, Sun-Drenched Kitchen

Where: Blaine, MN

What was there: Previously, this was a dark, enclosed kitchen trapped in a dated layout. The cooking zone was dominated by heavy, traditional dark oak cabinetry, a bulky brown range hood, and old parquet-style flooring. The adjacent dining area felt equally restricted, cramped by a heavy dark wood bench built into the bay window, a dated brass ceiling fan, and a closed-off wall structure that severely blocked natural light and traffic flow

About the space: The kitchen was completely transformed into a bright, airy, and highly sophisticated open-concept. We reimagined the footprint to maximize flow, removing the upper cabinet barriers to create a seamless transition into the dining area. The dark, dated flooring was replaced with beautiful light-toned hardwood floors that stretch across the entire space, perfectly complementing the crisp white walls, stunning new double wall ovens, and updated recessed lighting. The bright white shaker cabinets take center stage, along with a custom built-in wine rack feature, and a massive, quartz-topped central peninsula with an integrated gas cooktop. Premium stainless steel appliances, including a spacious French-door refrigerator, seamlessly blend into the new layout, while a modern transitional chandelier anchors the dining nook. Complete with an inviting breakfast bar setup, this kitchen has been beautifully elevated into the ultimate modern gathering spot.
